December 10 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's central government debt edged down to 3.660 billion euro ($4.425 billion) as at the end of September from 3.665 billion euro at the end of June, according to finance ministry data.
The central government debt was equivalent to 79.45% of the gross domestic product (GDP) estimated for 2020, compared to 79.54% of the GDP at the end of June, figures published by the finance ministry show.
The foreign debt of Montenegro fell to 3.09 billion euro at the end of September from 3.105 billion euro in June, while domestic debt went down to 507.5 million euro from 559.4 million euro.
The largest creditor of the Montenegrin government as at the end of September was the Export-Import Bank of China (EXIM Bank) with 664.1 million euro, followed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) with 183.8 million euro.
