PODGORICA (Montenegro), January 4 (SeeNews) - The ratio of non-performing loans (NPLs) to total loans in Montenegro's banking system was 5.6% at the end of September, the central bank said.

The average solvency ratio of Montenegrin banks totalled 19.3% at the end of the third quarter of 2020, slightly lower than the 19.6% recorded in June, the central bank said in a statement last week.

In September 2019, the NPL ratio of Montenegro's banking system stood at 4.67%.

Montenegro's NPL ratio totalled 5.1% at the end of 2019.
