Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport went up 28.9% on the year to 8,081 in January-April, while cargo traffic went up 3.5% to 3,974 tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany's Fraport Group.
In April alone, Ljubljana airport serviced 111,414 passengers, aircraft movements totalled 2,229, while cargo transport amounted to 1,067 tonnes.
Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport more than doubled to 970,152 in 2022 from 421,934 in the previous year.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
