Lidl Bulgaria invests 7.7 mln euro in new store in Plovdiv

December 11 (SeeNews) - Supermarket chain Lidl Bulgaria, a unit of Germany's Schwarz Group, said it opened its 10th store in the south-central city of Plovdiv, following an investment of over 15 million levs ($8.3 million/7.7 million euro).

The new site brings Lidl Bulgaria's network in the country to 122 locations, the retailer said in a press release on Saturday.

The Plovdiv store covers a commercial area of 1,408 square metres and has 101 parking spots.

Lidl is one of Europe's largest food retailers and has operations in 31 countries. In Bulgaria, the chain has stores in 53 cities, with over 4,000 employees.
