Lasselsberger has requested a non-refundable state aid of 133.2 million lei for the construction of the factory from the Romanian government, Economica.net reported on Friday.

In exchange for the state aid, the company will cover the operational and maintenance expenses of the factory, as well as other unforeseen costs, for at least five years following the development of the project.

Last year, Lasselsberger invested 1 million euro in a new production line for the rectification of ceramic tiles at its Cluj-Napoca production facility.
