February 16 (SeeNews) - Albania-Kosovo power exchange Alpex said on Friday that Kosovo-based energy company Enerco became the sixth member of the exchange for the Kosovo bidding zone, joining its day-ahead market.

Kosovo’s Enerco joins Alpex power exchange

Alpex, founded by Albania’s power transmission operator OST and Kosovo’s KOSTT in October 2020, now has 23 members in Albanian and Kosovo bidding zones.

Alpex initiated the first day-ahead auction in Kosovo last month, after its Albania debut in April 2023. An Albania-Kosovo market coupling is pending regulatory approval.

Established in 2009, Enerco engages in the manufacturing of energy metering devices, electric installations and energy trade, according to the country’s business register.
