Kosovo’s Banka Ekonomike net profit down y/y in Q1

Banka Ekonomike's assets totalled 610.2 million euro at the end of March, compared with 545.1 million euro a year earlier, the bank said in a data release last week.

The bank's loan portfolio increased to 452.2 million euro as at end-March 2024, from 409 million euro at end-March 2023. Banka Ekonomike's deposit portfolio rose to 537.8 million euro, from 483.1 million euro a year earlier.

Banka Ekonomike was the 6th largest lender by assets out of 11 banks that operated in Kosovo in the first quarter of 2024, according to Kosovo's Banking Association.
