April 14 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's government approved law amendments which pave the way for an increase of the gross minimum wage in the country to 264 euro ($288), prime minister Albin Kurti said.
The minimum wage for workers above 35 will be raised by 55%, while for workers under 35 it will be increased by 103%, Kurti said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
About 100,000 workers will benefit from the minimum wage increase, Kurti said in a statement released by the prime minister's office earlier on Wednesday.
Currently, the minimum wage is set at 130 euro for employees up to the age of 35 and 170 euro for employees over the age of 35.
