November 25 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's government plans to allocate 182 million euro ($216.7 million) for the implementation of an economic recovery package aimed at supporting businesses affected by the Covid-19 crisis in 2021, the prime minister's office said.
Kosovo's prime minister Avdullah Hoti has asked the members of the National Council for Economy and Investment, an institution that aligns government activities with the needs of the private sector, to suggest a list of reforms for the new fiscal package, the prime minister's office said in a statement on Tuesday.
The new economic recovery package is expected to be completed early in 2021.
In October alone, Kosovo allocated 87 million euro to economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, including 60 million euro to the business community, prime minister Hoti said.
Kosovo has confirmed a total of 12,683 Covid-19 cases, including 488 deaths, as of Wednesday, health ministry data shows.
