PRISTINA (Kosovo), November 10 (SeeNews) – The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector fell to 57.2 million euro ($67.5 million) in the first nine months of 2020, from 65.7 million euro in the same period of last year, the country's central bank said.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks totalled 3.18 billion euro at the end of September, up 7.6% year-on-year, the central bank said in a monthly report on Monday.
Deposits grew to 4.1 billion euro at the end of September, up 8.6% year-on-year.
The Kosovo banking system's total assets amounted to 5.04 billion euro at the end of September, higher than 4.6 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) fell to 1.8%, from 2.1% at the end of September 2019. Return on equity also dropped, to 15.5% from 17.4%.
The figures comprise the financial results of 11 banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank are the largest among them in terms of assets.
