September 8 (SeeNews) - An IKEA concept store opened in Mall of Sofia shopping centre on Wednesday, IKEA Bulgaria said.
The new store offers over 8,000 products from IKEA's portfolio, IKEA Bulgaria said in a statement.
At the end of last year, Greece-based durable goods provider Fourlis Group, the exclusive franchisee of the ΙΚΕΑ trademark in Bulgaria, Greece and Cyprus, said that it will start operating a new IKEA store in the Bulgarian capital in 2021. The new IKEA store will spread on 1,200 sq. m in Mall of Sofia, Fourlis Group said at the time.
The new store is Fourlis' second in Sofia and its third in Bulgaria after the group inaugurated an IKEA store in the coastal city of Varna in 2020.
Fourlis Group entered the Bulgarian market in 2011 with the opening of the first IKEA store in Sofia. The group also operates two order and pick-up points in the country - in Burgas and Plovdiv.
