April 5 (SeeNews) - Metal processing company Metal Shredder Hungary (MSH) plans to complete the construction of a factory in Becej, Serbia by 2023, Serbian media reported on Monday.
"The company will build a recycling plant in Serbia based on a 'zero waste' technology to collect and process electronic waste as well as X-ray films from the healthcare sector in Serbia," daily Dnevnik quoted sources from the Consulate General of Hungary in Subotica as saying.
Hungarian foreign affairs and trade minister Peter Szijjarto said last month that MSH plans to invest 546 million forints ($1.8 million/1.5 million euro) in the construction of a factory in Serbia. The Hungarian government will support the investment plans of Metal Shredder with financing of 325 million forints, Szijjarto noted.
The Hungarian company is active in the recovery of precious metals from electronic waste and the processing and recycling of discarded X-ray films.
