April 27 (SeeNews) - Heineken Serbia, a unit of Dutch brewing group Heineken, said it has invested 16 million euro ($17.7 million) in a new production line for bottling and packing beer in cans and the development of the production line for packing beer in bottles at its factory in Novi Sad, which will increase output by 50%.
“Heineken has so far invested more than 220 million euro in Serbia, and in the last two years alone, capital investments made in the brewery in Novi Sad amounted to 16 million euro,” Heineken Serbia director general Nada Djokic said in a press release on Wednesday.
The Dutch brewing group operates two factories in Serbia -- in Zajecar and Novi Sad.
