August 11 (SeeNews) - The German ambassador to Albania, Peter Zingraf, has said that Berlin has allocated a 10.6 million euro ($12.5 million) fund to Albania to help Tirana cope with the COVID-19 epidemic and accelerate the economic and technical cooperation between the two countries, Albanian media reported.
A significant part of the funding will be used to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Albania and the country's European integration process, Albanian Daily News quoted Albania's finance minister Anila Denaj as saying during a meeting with Zingraf on Monday.
Albania has confirmed a total of 6,411 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday, including 199 deaths.
