January 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency said that its 982.7 million levs ($608.4 million/502.4 million euro) tender for the design and construction of 75.6-kilometres of Ruse-Veliko Tarnovo motorway has attracted offers from five bidders.
The 536.4 million levs Lot 1, concerning the 40.2-km Ruse-Byala section, attracted four offers, while the 446.3 million levs Lot 2, which includes the Byala bypass road, attracted five bids, the agency said in a statement on Friday.
Offers for both lots were tabled by GBS - Infrastructure Construction, a tie-up between Hydrostroy, VDH and Patstroy Burgas, a tie-up comprising Infra Expert, Avtomagistrali - Tcherno More, Patinzheneringstroy-T and Transconsult-22, and a tie-up between Evropeiski Patishta, Groma Hold, Vodno Stroitelstvo-Blagoevgrad, Avtomagistrali Hemus and Patproect 2000.
A bid for Lot 2 was also submitted by a tie-up comprising ISA-2000, PST Group, Kalistratov Group and Patproect.
The design length of the motorway in northern Bulgaria is some 133 km, with the remaining section connecting Byala to Veliko Tarnovo. The Road Infrastructure Agency plans to finance the construction of the entire motorway from the future EU-funded programme Transport Connectivity 2021-2027.
