July 20 (SeeNews) - UK-based Equest Balkan Properties (EBP) said on Friday it has acquired a retail warehouse centre in Romania and retail and commercial property sites in Serbia. EBP, a property investment company focused on southeast Europe, has signed an agreement to acquire through its wholly-owned subsidiary Union Properties 100% of the shares of Modul Shopping Centir, in a transaction valuing the company at eight million euro ($11 million), EBP said in a statement. Modul Shopping Centir owns a retail warehouse centre with a gross lettable area of some 6,520 square metres in the southern town of Targoviste. EBP, through wholly owned subsidiary Elgin has entered into an agreement to acquire the entire issued share capital of Star Invest, a company which owns, directly and via its subsidiary Star Imobiliare, a portfolio of retail and commercial property sites in Serbia's capital Belgrade. The property portfolio has a total development potential of over 90,000 square metres.
