July 26 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Serbia's 3Bank signed on Tuesday an agreement for a 1.2 billion dinars ($10 million/10 million euro) credit line in support of micro and small businesses, entrepreneurs and farmers, the two institutions said.
About 75% of the credit line will go to clients outside Belgrade region, the two banks said in separate statements.
3Bank, former Opportunity Bank Serbia, finances small businesses, farmers and entrepreneurs who usually do not have easy access to financing from traditional banks.
The EBRD has invested more than 7.3 billion euro in Serbia to date. It focuses on support for private-sector development, the improvement of public utility services and the overall transition to a green economy.
