August 1 (SeeNews) - Low-cost air carrier easyJet said on Tuesday it plans to launch a new route from the Bulgarian capital Sofia to Edinburgh in Scotland.
Flights on the new winter-only route will start from December 16 and will be operated until April 14, 2018 on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the company said in a statement.
"The new flights will offer more choice to Scottish ski tourists to spend their winter holidays in Bulgaria’s famous ski resorts as well as to Bulgarian passengers to visit one of the more attractive European capitals, renowned for its heritage, culture and festivals. We are sure this new route will be a popular addition to our current route network from the airport." Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said in the statement.
EasyJet operates year-round flights from Sofia to London Gatwick, London Stansted and Manchester, with first operations launched in 2007.
