February 18 (SeeNews) - Dutch-registered emerging market property developer Plaza Centers said on Monday it plans to develop a 37 million euro ($54 million) retail centre in Romania after acquiring a land plot in the country's western city of Hunedoara. The 41,000-square-metre site will be developed into a shopping and entertainment centre, with a built-up area of 28,000 square metres, and 20,000 square meters of lettable space. The construction is expected to start in mid-2008 and to be completed in the first quarter of 2010, Plaza Centers said in a statement.
