PODGORICA (Montenegro), January 23 (SeeNews) – Montenegro's government said Dubai-based holding company 32Group has expressed interest in investing in the country's tourism industry and international airports.
32Group is particularly interested in investing in the tourist area of Ulcinj, where it plans to acquire certain assets, and also in the development of the airports of Tivat and Podgorica, the Montenegrin government said in a statement on Monday.
The doors to Montenegro are open to every investor who wishes to transfer business and management experience to the country, prime minister Dusko Markovic said during a meeting with Majid Pishyar, CEO and president of 32Group, in Podgorica
32Group is involved in diverse activities such as manufacturing, finance, construction, land development, agricultural projects and investment management, according to information from its website.
In December, Markovic said foreign investors are interested in investing a total of $110 million (89.9 million euro) in the development of the country's two international airports, in Tivat and Podgorica. The government expects the two airports to handle record-high five million passengers combined after two or three years, Markovic said back then.
