May 13 (SeeNews) - Do-it-yourself retailer Bricostore plans to exit the Croatian market, the company said on its official Facebook page last week.
On Monday, Zagreb-based news daily Poslovni Dnevnik (www.poslovni.hr) reported that the company plans to wind down operations in Croatia by June 30, closing its stores in Sesvete, Pula and Kastel Sucurac.
The store in the southwestern town of Kastel Sucurac has already been closed, Poslovni said, adding that the store in Sesvete, near the capital Zagreb, should be closed after all the merchandise is cleared out in June.
Bricostore entered the Croatian market in 2004 with the opening of the Kastel Sucurac store. In 2007, the company opened the store in Pula which was followed by the launch in 2012 of its biggest store near Zagreb.
According to Poslovni, Bricostore has so far invested 463 million kuna ($79 million/61 million euro) in Croatia and employs 300.
