Deichmann Bulgaria's stores sold 579,000 pairs of shoes last year, including through online sales, which was 37,000 more than in 2022, the company said in a press release.

The footwear retailer plans to open two new locations in Bulgaria this year in line with the group's new store interior concept.

Deichmann entered the Bulgarian market in 2009. Currently it operates 22 sites and an online store in Bulgaria, employing about 150 staff.

The German group generated total sales of 8.7 billion euro ($9.5 billion) in 2023 from operations in 34 countries, up 7% in annual terms. Deichmann plans to invest some 374 million euro in its operations this year, with a total of about 450 new and renovated stores planned across the group.
