The store covers an area of some 11,000 sq m and will employ 138 people, Dedeman said in a press release.

The store's parking comprises nearly 300 spaces and a 22 kW EV charging station. The store is the second one Dedeman opens in 2023, after the one opened in Craiova in October.

The new store will also have a 400 kWp photovoltaic (PV) system which will provide electricity for self consumption.

Dedeman, founded in 1992 by two Romanian entrepreneurs, has over 12,500 employees. In addition to its brick and mortar stores, the company owns five logistics centres and an auto park.
