May 21 (SeeNews) - Agroserv Mariuta, the company which owns dairy brand Laptaria cu Caimac, started trading on the alternative market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), AeRO, the bourse said on Friday.
The shares are traded under the MILK ticker, the bourse said in a press release.
The listing of the company follows a private placement carried out on April 26 through which Agroserv Mariuta raised 19.4 million lei ($4.9 million/3.9 million euro), the largest amount attracted in a private placement of shares on AeRO.
The company sold 431,020 shares at a price of 45 lei per share lei. The private placement was oversubscribed 3.6 times.
The funding will go towards the development of the company's bottle and jar washing station which will allow it to recycle and reuse the packaging of its products, Laptaria cu Caimac project manager Adrian Cocan said. "In this way we can achieve our main goal to be a carbon neutral company in 2030," he added.
In November, the company carried out a private placement selling 3 million euro ($3.66 million) worth of euro denominated bonds. The bonds have been trading since December on BVB’s Multilateral Trading System (MTS).
Agroserv Mariuta was established in 1994 and until 2018 had exclusively agricultural activities, large crops and dairy farm. In 2018, the company started a dairy factory, which involved an investment of over 5 million euro, and launched the Laptaria cu Caimac brand, under which it produces and sells milk packaged in glass, matured cheeses, sour cream, yogurt etc.
