October 28 (SeeNews) - Croatian detergent and cosmetics producer Saponia [ZSE:SAPN] said on Thursday that its consolidated net profit rose to 45.5 million kuna ($7.1 million/6.1 million euro) in the first nine months of this year from 41.6 million kuna in the same period of 2020.
Operating revenue reached 638.8 million kuna from 633.6 million in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
Its growth was backed by the group's diversified portfolio of brands such as detergent and cosmetics products Saponia, chocolate products Kandid and waffle and biscuit products Koestlin, it added.
Operating costs went up to 589.8 million kuna in the review period from 586.3 million kuna in the corresponding period of last year.
Capex stood at 27.1 million kuna in the period under review, as the group invested in production equipment, a logistics centre and digitalisation. It declined from 29.8 million kuna in the January-September period of last year.
Saponia's shares closed at 825 kuna on Thursday, unchanged from the last closing price.
