January 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian consumer goods distributor Orbico group recorded a revenue of 3.2 billion euro ($3.5 billion) from its operations in 20 countries in Europe last year, and targets 6.0 billion euro in 2028, local media reported.
The revenue from operations in Croatia alone hit record-high 520 million euro in 2022, the Poslovni Dnevnik daily quoted Orbico owner and CEO Branko Roglic as saying on Thursday.
Roglic was not immediately available to comment.
According to earlier media reports, Orbico's consolidated revenue amounted to 2.85 billion euro in 2021.
The Croatian unit of the group, in cooperation with developers, starts building a new logistics centre of 40,000 square metres in Zdencina, near Zagreb, which will start operating at the beginning of 2024, Poslovni said. Later on, the facility will be expanded by 20,000 square metres. Initially, Orbico Croatia will lease the facility from the developers, with an option to buy it in long term.
Orbico group has 7,500 employees, including 1,250 in Croatia.
