Croatia's ESB to absorb ECC's card issuing business

June 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian Erste&Steiermarkische Bank (ESB) said it plans to integrate the card issuing segment of its subsidiary Erste Card Club (ECC).

ECC will continue its operations in the merchant acquiring segment, the bank said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse on Wednesday.

Erste&Steiermarkische Bank is part of the Austrian banking group Erste.

ECC generated revenue of 98.8 million euro ($106 million) in 2023, down from 111.3 million euro in 2022, according to business information provider Dun & Bradstreet.
