Croatia's electronic comms market grows 4.6% y/y in Q1

June 25 (SeeNews) - Croatia's electronic communications market generated 423.6 million euro ($453 million) in revenue in the January-March period, up by 4.6% on the year, the country's telecommunications regulator, HAKOM, said on Tuesday.

Revenue from services provided by mobile networks increased by 5.8% year-on-year in the first quarter, while revenue from services in the fixed networks rose 2.6% on the year, HAKOM said in a statement.

On the phone services market, the overall retail revenue in the mobile networks rose 10.8% to 124 million euro.

The phone services in the fixed-line networks the revenue fell 5.2% on the year to 29.4 million euro.

The overall revenue from access to Internet went up 9.4% to 191.4 million euro, driven mostly by access via mobile networks, with the revenue from these services increasing 8.2% to 134 million euro.

Total revenues from paid television services reached 32.9 million euro in the first quarter, up 3.9% on the year.
