Croatia's building permits up 12.8% y/y in April

June 14 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose 12.8% on the year to 1,096 in April, the statistical office said on Friday.

The number of permits issued for buildings increased 8.1% year-on-year to 909 in April, while the number of permits for civil engineering projects went up 42.7% to 187, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report.

Out of all permits issued in April, 839 covered new construction projects, while 257 were issued for reconstruction works.

Based on the number of permits issued in April, 1,738 dwellings are planned to be built, up 9.3% on the year.
