On a monthly comparison basis, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) was unchanged in June, after going up by 0.1% in May, the Bureau of Statistics said.
In June, prices of food, beverages, and tobacco rose by 2.1% year-on-year. Service costs increased by 5.5%, industrial non-food products (excluding energy) gained 1.5%, while energy prices fell 0.5%.
The statistical office will release final inflation data for June on July 16.
Measured by the EU-harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), prices of goods and services for personal consumption in Croatia increased by an average 3.4% in June. On a monthly comparison basis, HICP rose by an estimated 0.8% in June.
Croatia reported a 4.3% annual rise and an 0.2% monthly increase in HICP in May.
Croatia's average annual inflation slowed down to 8% last year from 10.8% in 2022.
