October 12 (SeeNews) - The gross written premiums (GWP) of Croatia-based insurers rose 12% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2021, reaching 9.019 billion kuna ($1.4 billion/1.2 billion euro), the Croatian Insurance Bureau said on Tuesday.
Non-life premiums increased by 12.90% on the year to 6.823 billion kuna in the nine months through September, the Insurance Bureau, an association of Croatia-based insurers, said in a statement.
Life premiums went up 9.89% year-on-year in the review period, reaching 2.197 billion kuna.
There were 15 insurers registered in the Adriatic country of 4.2 million people at the end of September.
