November 12 (SeeNews) - The gross written premiums (GWP) of Croatia-based insurers rose 11.96% year-on-year in the first ten months of 2021, reaching 9.893 billion kuna ($1.507 billion/1.316 billion euro), the Croatian Insurance Bureau said on Friday.
Non-life premiums increased by 12.61% on the year to 7.490 billion kuna in the ten months through October, the Insurance Bureau, an association of Croatia-based insurers, said in a statement.
Life premiums went up 9.97% year-on-year in the review period, reaching 2.403 billion kuna.
There were 15 insurers registered in the Adriatic country of 4.2 million people at the end of October.
