ZAGREB (Croatia), August 11 (SeeNews) – The gross written premiums (GWP) of Croatia-based insurers rose 12.37% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2021, reaching 7.393 billion kuna ($1.15 billion/986 million euro), the Croatian Insurance Bureau said on Wednesday.
Non-life premiums increased by 12.08% on the year to 5.597 billion kuna in the seven months through July, the Insurance Bureau, an association of Croatia-based insurers, said in a statement.
Life premiums went up 11.06% year-on-year in the review period, reaching 1.797 billion kuna.
There were 15 insurers registered in the Adriatic country of 4.2 million people at the end of July.
