Croatian airports passenger traffic up 30% y/y in May

July 10 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Croatia's airports increased to 1.360 million in May, up from 1.049 million in the same month of 2023, official statistics showed on Wednesday.

The total number of landings and take-offs at Croatian airports rose 19.8% on the year reaching 14,153 in May, while cargo volumes increased 16% to 941 tonnes, the statistical office said in a monthly report.

Zagreb airport served the largest number of passengers in May – 398,000, up by an annual 21.7% - followed by the airport in Dubrovnik with 361,000 passengers, and the airport in Split with 355,000 passengers.

Last year, Croatia's airports handled 11.272 million passengers, up 15% compared to 2022, the same office has said earlier.
