April 2 (SeeNews) - Croatia will receive an additional 747,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine through the European Union distribution scheme, prime minister Andrej Plenkovic said.
Croatia is expected to receive the additional doses by the end of June, Plenkovic said in a government press release on Thursday.
The members of the European Council last week agreed to distribute some 30% of the 10 million Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses planned for delivery in the second quarter to EU member states most in need. The remaining 70% of the doses will be allocated to states based on population.
The Croatian government did not disclose the amount of vaccine doses it should receive on a pro-rata basis.
