Retail investors were only able to subscribe to the 2027 bond. A total of 6,699 retail investors subscribed, contributing 158.3 million euro towards the bond issue, the finance ministry said in a press release late on Wednesday.

The subscription took place from July 1 to July 8.

The ministry sold the remaining bonds to institutional investors, mainly pension funds and commercial banks, in an auction held on Wednesday. Institutional investors bid 2.12 billion euro for the three-year bond and 1.589 billion euro for the ten-year issue.

The bonds carry yields of 3.30% (2027) and 3.60% (2034).
