July 23 (SeeNews) - Croatia's telecommunications regulator HAKOM has opened a public tender for the use of radio frequencies for the commercial operation of Digital Audio Broadcasting + (DAB+) network in the country, it said.
HAKOM decided on July 22 to open a tender for the issuance of individual permits for the use of the radio frequency spectrum for the provision of management services of digital radio using electronic communications network, the regulatory authority said in a statement on Thursday.
The participants in the tender will compete for the use of the 174-240 Mhz frequency band for multiplex MUX 1 from November 16, 2021 to December 31, 2036.
The right to submit bids in the tender have companies and individuals from the European Union.
The deadline for submitting bids in the tender is September 10. HAKOM will take a decision to issue the licenses before October 11.
