March 28 (SeeNews) - State-controlled flag carrier Croatia Airlines [ZSE:CRAL] will resume flights from Croatia's capital Zagreb to Bosnia and Herzegovina's Mostar in May, regional media reported.
Croatia Airlines was the sole bidder in a tender by the Mostar airport for the introduction of a regular Zagreb-Mostar service, regional news provider Ex-Yu Aviation reported on Monday.
The air carrier will operate the flights three times per week, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, starting May 3, according to the report.
Croatia Airlines suspended its Zagreb-Mostar route at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.
The operator of Mostar International Airport launched a tender seeking an airline to offer regular flights to Zagreb earlier in March.
Mostar Airport served just 30 passengers in February, according to the latest data from the country's Civil Aviation Directorate.
The Mostar airport is one of Bosnia's four international airports. The others are located in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Tuzla.
