SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 11 (SeeNews) – Lender Credit Agricole Albania has changed its name to American Bank of Investments, Albania's central bank said.
The change in the lender's name comes after in October the central bank granted preliminary approval of the ownership of 100% of the qualifying holding in the shareholder’s equity of Credit Agricole Albania by Tranzit sh.p.k., the Bank of Albania said in a press release on Thursday.

Tranzit is controlled by two international financial groups: NCH Balkan Fund L.P. and Century Holdings XI, L.P, the central bank added.
Tranzit is a subsidiary of NCH Capital Balkan Fund and Century Holdings. NCH Capital is one of the biggest investors in eastern Europe and Russia. Since 1993 NCH has invested more than 3 milliard dollar.In Albania it has invested in building, tourism, real estate, hydrocarbon processing, telecommunications, transport and others.
