SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 16 (SeeNews) – The first Courtyard by Marriott hotel is set to open in Bosnia's city of Banja Luka on May 1, 2019, the city's municipal government announced.
Marriott International and Bosnian company MMI Razvoj projekata signed a franchise agreement on Tuesday, paving the way for the construction of the four-star hotel in the city's centre, the municipal government said following the signing ceremony.
The hotel will have 118 spacious rooms, a multi-purpose multimedia conference room with 200 seats, a restaurant with over a 100 seats, wellness and fitness centres and other facilities.
Other details of the project were not disclosed.
Marriott International is the world's largest hotel brand, with more than 6,200 hotels in 125 countries. The hotel chain also runs hotels in Bosnia's Sarajevo, Serbia's Belgrade, Croatia's Zagreb and Macedonia's Skopje, among others.
