August 17 (SeeNews) - China's Jiangxi Corporation for International Economic and Technical Cooperation is mulling investing in Bosnia’s Serb Republic, particularly in projects related to infrastructure development, the entity's government said.
Jiangxi is interested primarily in road infrastructure and energy, and will continue talks with the entity towards identifying adequate modalities for cooperation, the Serb Republic's government said on Wednesday following a meeting with the company's representatives.
Jiangxi is among the top 250 international companies in the field of construction projects, and has so far successfully implemented more than 500 projects in over 50 countries.
The Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities in Bosnia, has drawn particular interest from Chinese investors which have implemented projects mainly in the energy and road infrastructure sectors. Bosnia's other entity is the Federation.
