March 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) went up by 3.4% in 2022, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday, citing preliminary data.
In 2021, Bulgaria posted 4.2% economic growth.
The country's economic output increased by a real 2.3% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2022, following an annual rise of 3.2% in the third quarter, the statistical office said in a statement, citing preliminary and seasonally-adjusted data.
On a quarterly comparison basis, the GDP rose by 0.6% in the October-December period, after a 0.6% increase between July and September.
At current prices, Bulgaria's GDP in 2022 amounted to 165.4 billion levs ($90.19 billion/84.57 billion euro).
