August 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian international freight transport and logistics company Discordia recorded profit growth of 14.5% year-on-year in 2020, to over 6 million levs ($3.6 million/3.1 million euro) in 2020, it told SeeNews on Monday.
The company's revenue also rose by 14.5% on an annual comparison basis last year, reaching 175.8 million levs, Discordia said in response to an e-mailed еnquiry.
Discordia recorded a net profit margin of 3.43% last year, the company said in an e-mailed statement earlier on Monday.
In 2020, Discordia expanded its team by 138 people, it also said.
In June, Discordia said it added the 800th truck to its fleet, expanding the number of its vehicles by 100 trucks since the start of 2021 in line with its goal to have 1,000 vehicles by the end of the year.
Earlier this year, Discordia announced plans to increase the number of its employees from 1,000 in January to 1,650 by the end of 2021.
In 2019, Discordia unveiled plans to invest 200 million levs in capacity expansion over the following three years.
