October 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian international freight transport company Discordia added the 900th truck to its fleet and expanded its staff to 1,500, the company said on Tuesday.
"I do not doubt we will continue to grow at an even faster pace," Hristo Hristov, CEO of Discordia, said in a press release.
In the last three years, the number of employees has risen 25% on average annually, the company added.
In 2019, the company said it planned to invest 200 million levs ($118.3 million/102.3 million euro) in capacity expansion over the three years to follow.
The company has told SeeNews that its profit grew 14.5% year-on-year in 2020, to over 6 million levs. Its revenue also rose by 14.5% last year, reaching 175.8 million levs.
Discordia, one of Europe's leading transport and logistics companies, was founded in 1992. It has developed fast, reaching 1,500 employees in 2021 from just 159 in 2013. Apart from Bulgaria, Discordia also has offices in Romania and Ukraine.
