February 24 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian veterinary drugs producer Biovet [BUL:53B] said on Friday its consolidated net profit rose to 17 million levs ($9.2 million/8.7 million euro) in 2016, from 10.7 million levs in 2015.
Sales revenue amounted to 227.4 million levs in 2016, which compares to 200.1 million levs in 2015, Biovet said in an annual financial report filed with the Sofia bourse.
Cost of goods sold rose to 202.4 million levs in 2016, from 179.3 million levs a year earlier.
Operating profit rose to 19.7 million levs, from 13.2 million levs in 2015.
Biovet has production plants in the towns of Peshtera, Botevgrad and Razgrad.
Some 90% of Biovet’s veterinary products are exported.
Biovet shares traded 2.07% higher at 14.29 levs as at 14:00 CET on Friday.
