December 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's government said on Wednesday that it will provide an additional 156 million levs ($97.2 million/78.9 million euro) of EU funding for measures supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have suspended or limited their operations due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
The fresh funding will be provided under the EU's operational programme Innovations and Competitiveness, the government said in a statement.
In November, the government approved an extension of the state of epidemic emergency introduced over the spread of Covid-19 until the end of January 2021. All restaurants, gyms, shopping malls, and casinos are closed and attendance at universities, schools, kindergartens and nurseries is suspended.
