December 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Airways Group [BUL:B2GA], majority owner of flag carrier Bulgaria Air, reported a consolidated net profit of 3.25 million levs ($1.74 million/1.66 million euro) for the first nine months of 2022, after a loss of 20.56 million levs in the comparable prior-year period.
Revenue more than doubled to 361.7 million levs in the nine months through September from 165.08 million levs a year earlier, Bulgarian Airways said in an interim financial statement earlier this week.
Operating expenses jumped to 286.6 million levs from 148.6 million levs as the company booked costs of products sold of 102.06 million levs.
Apart from the flag carrier, in which it holds 99.99% interest, the group has several fully-owned or majority-owned subsidiaries, including Bulgaria Air Maintenance, Invest Kapital Konsult, Airport Consult, Bulgaria Air Technic and Aviation Company Hemus Air.
