November 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria will lose 220 million euro ($284 million) in aid under EU’s PHARE pre-accession programme over mismanagement after the European Commission said on Tuesday it will not restore the accreditation of the two government agencies that were in charge of handling the funds. “After a careful analyses done by the European Commission we regret that we have to maintain the suspension of payments and we are also at the moment not in a position to restore the accreditation for the two implementing agencies,” EU spokesperson Krisztina Nagy told reporters in Brussels. Her statement was made available as an audio file on the website of the Commission.
