March 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's transport ministry said that incoming flights from Italy, Spain and Iran will be banned as of midnight local time on Tuesday, in an attempt to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Although the country does not have direct flights from China and South Korea, all indirect flights from the two countries will also be banned as of midnight on Tuesday, the transport ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Flag carrier Bulgaria Air will subsequently carry out flights to Italy and Spain, in case there is a number of Bulgarian citizens there who wish to return to the country.
