January 4 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Serb Republic has signed a $190 million (168.2 million euro) contract with China Energy Gezhouba Group for the construction of the Dabar hydro power plant (HPP), local media reported.
Under the agreement, the HPP will be built using a loan provided by the Exim Bank of China, which will be guaranteed by the Serb Republic, business news provider Capital.ba reported last week.
The power plant will have an installed capacity of 159.15 MW.
The total estimated value of the project is 650 million marka ($375.8 million/332 million euro), according to the media report.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that comprise Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
